Melissa Thompson, PhD, is a leadership strategist, organizational development expert, and sought-after communication specialist who excels at transforming teams, cultures, and organizational performance. As a partner at Success Labs, she guides executives, emerging leaders, and high-potential talent to navigate change, sharpen strategic thinking, and achieve lasting growth.

With a PhD in communication theory, Melissa applies a rigorous, research-backed approach to leadership development, employee engagement, and organizational strategy. Known for making complex concepts accessible, actionable, and engaging, she brings clarity and impact to every interaction—whether leading strategic planning for large hospital systems, guiding petrochemical teams through organizational change, or facilitating high-energy leadership workshops.

Melissa’s influence extends beyond the corporate environment. As the curator of TEDxBatonRouge, a Council Trustee for Delta Gamma, and an adjunct professor at LSU’s E.J. Ourso College of Business, she actively shapes the conversation around leadership, innovation, and effective communication in both academic and community settings.

Praised for her warmth, charisma, and intelligence, Melissa is a trusted and proven expert who builds trust quickly. She believes that leadership development is as much about inspiring confidence as it is about strategy, empowering leaders to build resilient teams that thrive in an ever-changing landscape.

Melissa is based in Baton Rouge, where she contributes to numerous community initiatives, including serving on the board of the Louisiana Art & Science Museum and supporting Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center through the Echo Alliance. Whether speaking on stage, facilitating in the boardroom, or guiding organizational change, Melissa empowers leaders to turn potential into proven results.

Adrian Owen Jones, CFRE, is a leadership strategist and Partner at Success Labs, where she helps organizations lead through change by building resilient teams, systems, and strategies that bend without breaking. A LinkedIn Top Voice in Strategy and Philanthropy, Adrian is known for combining data, insight, and systems thinking to help complex organizations navigate growth and transformation.

Her career spans the private and nonprofit sectors, where she’s led teams, built infrastructure, and guided organizations through rapid change. At the LSU Foundation, she spent nearly a decade leading technology and operations, playing a critical role in a $1.5 billion capital campaign. She went on to serve as Chief Growth Officer at ThreeSixtyEight, helping the firm earn national recognition as an Inc. 5000 company and Baton Rouge’s first B-Corp.

Adrian also founded her own consultancy, supporting clients across industries with strategy, systems design, and technology implementation. A Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach and certified Enneagram facilitator, she brings a deeply human approach to change—grounded in the belief that true resilience lives at the intersection of clarity, adaptability, and support—where purpose meets preparation, and people are empowered to lead through whatever comes next.

Long before that, she honed her analytical skills as a world-ranked World of Warcraft player, mastering dashboards and team dynamics in high-stakes environments—a skillset she still draws on today.

Adrian holds a degree in Classical Studies from Oklahoma State University and is pursuing a master’s in Leadership and Emerging Technology from LSU. She currently serves on multiple nonprofit boards and is a co-organizer of TEDxBatonRouge. Outside of work, Adrian enjoys cultivating camellias, tending a monarch butterfly garden, and exploring local cuisines in distant destinations.
